The Megavalanche starts on snow near the top of a mountain and you race downhill….

How hard can that be? Pretty dam hard by all accounts, for a full report, but Rich reckons that he encountered jutst about every type of terrain imaginable, starting on snow down to a rocky plateau, giving way to dirt trails and a smoking hot descent through a rock strewn valley, into some switchbacks and into alpine meadow.

starting in waves of 200 riders….on ice and snow, a recipe for disaster

descending Alp d Huez, from 3,300m to the valley floor.

Rich isn’t actually this fast, amazing what you can do with a bit of a wobbly camera
